脳の中は一体何が起きているかを自分が患者であり、医者でもありながら分析しようとしています。自分が自分の脳を切りさき、その複雑性を観察し、考えています。
作品的發想是以大腦的複雜性為主。藝術家試圖用心理學的角度去解釋它,同時視自己為醫生及患者,以自己療癒自己的方式去剖析、觀察大腦,就像是自己對自己做著手術。手術這個概念也給予了更多空間去思考大腦的複雜性。
The artist Daphne H.C. SHEN attempts to explain the subject “complexity of brain” in her artworks, analyzing and observing her thinking as both doctor and patient so as to heal herself, thereby creating more thinking space for the subject of the artworks.
